Golf Fitness

What is Golf Fitness?

It's simple - golf fitness is three things:

  1. Improving your movement, strength and resilience when it comes to your swing.  Building strength to hit the ball further and keep your body fit.

  2. Improving your movement patterns for your swing and for your life.

  3. And keeping your body resilient against injury and fatigue.

Why is Golf Fitness important?

Your game and your swing can only go as far as your body allows.  When you have freedom of movement, strength, and resilience you have options.  Your body can dictate your swing and your game - not the other way around.  A stronger and more resilient golfer is a better golfer - period.

Coach Brian Cammarata

As a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and a Level 1 Titleist Performance Institute Golf Fitness Coach, I've worked with a wide range of clients in both Boston and Los Angeles, from weekend golfers to average desk jockeys to young athletes.  We focus on getting stronger, moving better, and building good habits in and out of the gym.  As the saying goes, "we are what we repeatedly do".

How do I incorporate golf fitness into my usual routine?

The pillars of golf fitness are quality of movement and progressive strength training.  You can work on your movement quality each and every day through mobility drills, breathing exercises and basic movement. Progressive strength training is getting stronger in the gym - and out on the course.  Add lifting weights to your routine 3 days a week.
